The Blossom Place Workshop (across the street from Queen Anne Frame & Gift.)
This is going to be a fun one! We've dreamed up a summer evening of community and plants. To kickoff their new workshop classes we are partnering with The Blossom Place Workshop, a woman-owned urban gardening and cooking school on Queen Anne Ave. In this 2 part workshop we will delight in the unexpected pairing of the air plant and the cocktail.
You won't even believe the magical courtyard set above Queen Anne Ave. The evening will start in the courtyard with a summer cocktail lesson using locally made shrubs and all the many ways to incorporate the summer's farmers market bounty - from garnish to infused alcohols.
Once cocktails are in hand Blossom Place Workshop will treat you with their house-made crackers paired with cheese and locally made jam while we dive into air plants - the fascinating houseplant that doubles as an interior design object. This workshop will present the full air plant story starting with essential care instructions to keep them happy in your home year round and sharing different varieties to inspiring ways to display them - think outside the typical container. Once the creative juices are flowing you will be hands-on designing your own display ideas.
You will leave with a collection of 6 air plants and found objects to create your own moment of calm in your space, a posy bouquet of garnishes, and reference cards for your future cocktailing and air plant care.
